... getting the most from the workshop, helping other people to get the most from it, and staying safe ...
There are a few simple rules / boundaries for attending online workshops. These apply to both members of the general public and professionals(!)
- Please consider having your video camera on! Your actual face instead of a blank screen is not compulsory. But it is more reassuring for other people. And helps me because I can see your responses and feel like I'm talking to real people!!
- Diplaying your name and other information : I suggest first name ONLY is best for public workshops. In Professional workshops it's old school etiquette to let people know who you are!
- Keep your microphone on mute unless speaking
- Please be respectful of everyone else and keep spoken questions/contributions fairly short.
- I want to keep the rules for sharing personal stories in line with the method I'm teaching here. So generally speaking this is NOT a place to share life stories or traumatic events in your life, partly because that's not helpful for yourself in this particular space, but particularly because it is unhelpful to the other participants. The format I am providing is also not contained enough for that kind of sharing, and therefore ...
- I also reccommend you do NOT share your contact details in the chat space.
- Your respect of the space and of the other participants helps everyone to get the most from the meting!
